UK Shipping

UK Shipping: VAT and Customs

Our orders are shipped from Spain to the United Kingdom using transport and courier companies.

Depending on the value and destination, these orders may be subject to additional taxes and import charges.

Great Britain: England, Scotland and Wales

Orders up to £135

For orders that meet the requirements of the UK VAT scheme for low-value goods, UK VAT is charged during checkout. We are responsible for declaring and paying this VAT to the UK authorities.

In these cases, import VAT should generally not be charged again upon delivery. However, other handling fees may apply depending on the characteristics of the shipment.

The £135 threshold is calculated based on the total intrinsic value of the goods included in the order, excluding shipping costs. This threshold applies to the combined value of all goods in the order, not to each item individually.

Orders over £135

These orders are shipped under DAP (Delivered At Place) terms. This means that the recipient is responsible for any applicable taxes and import charges in the United Kingdom.

These charges are not included in the product price or the shipping costs displayed at checkout and may include:

  • Import VAT.

  • Customs duties, where applicable.

  • Customs clearance and handling fees.

  • Other import-related charges.

The carrier or customs broker may request payment of these charges before delivery. As a result, the shipment may be delayed until the relevant procedures and payments have been completed.

Shipments to Northern Ireland

Orders shipped from Spain to Northern Ireland are subject to the specific rules applicable to the sale of goods between the EU and Northern Ireland. The relevant VAT is declared through the One Stop Shop (OSS) scheme.

In general, these shipments are not subject to import customs duties of the kind applicable to shipments to Great Britain.

Important Information About Customs Duties

Applicable taxes, duties and handling fees depend on the characteristics of each shipment and the regulations in force.

If the recipient refuses to accept or pay the applicable import charges, the parcel may be held, delayed or returned to Spain.

If the customer fails to collect the order once it has been held by customs, they will be responsible for the costs incurred in returning it to our warehouse. These costs will be deducted from the amount refundable for the purchase, in accordance with our terms and conditions of sale and applicable law.

Tax and customs regulations may change. Although we strive to keep this information up to date, the applicable treatment will depend on the circumstances of each order and the legislation in force. We therefore recommend checking the import requirements using the official UK Government guidance.
